About the Band

"Hey out there, my name is Josh McGowan and I play guitar and sing for 24*13. I became a part of this band in 2007 in a process that started fatefully at a backyard graduation party in Skokie. Ever since then, it’s been a huge pleasure writing and playing music with Kevin & Jack. I’m extremely excited about the addition of Erin Egan to the band. I am also eternally grateful for the support we’ve had from our manager, Jim McKee. And to all the fans who have followed us from the beginning, my friends and family especially, thank you for coming out time and again and livin’ the party with us."

Josh McGowan
Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Keyboard, VocalsJosh is a very talented musician who writes the majority of the bands material and is very good at telling a story through his music. Josh’s guitar work & singing compliment each other. Josh is currently a Junior at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Josh hosts his own radio show during the school year at KWUR, which is the Washington University Radio Station. The show is called “Down at the Crossroads” and is all blues. The show airs every Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on www.kwur.com.

Jack McKee
Drums, Percussion, VocalsJack has been playing drums since the 7th grade. Jack is an exceptional drummer who plays with passion and heart and keeps the band on a steady track. He is currently studying music at Columbia College in Downtown Chicago. A fan of all types of music, especially the great Rock & Roll of the 60’s and 70’s, Jack has been inspired by such drummers as Keith Moon of The Who and Carter Buford of The Dave Matthews Band. Jack truly enjoys playing with Josh, Kevin and Erin and being part of the creative process.

Kevin Kirland
Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, VocalsKevin is an excellent bass player who holds down a solid beat and whose signature bass lines you will recognize on many of the Band’s songs. Kevin plays guitar and provides backup vocals. He also enjoys all types of music especially The Who and King’s of Leon. Kevin really likes playing with 24*13 and the fact that all the members of the band are such good friends.  Kevin will be graduating from Loyola Academy in the spring of 2010.

Erin Egan
Keyboards, Vocals Erin Egan, the newest member of 24*13, is a sophomore in Choral Music Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is also the music director of No Comment Co-Ed A Cappella, an extracurricular a cappella group on U of I's campus. Erin has studied private voice for 6+ years, but has been singing and playing piano her whole life. Some of her favorite musical influences include: Bonnie Raitt, Jane Monheit, Billy Joel, The Beatles, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, and Norah Jones, just to name a few. As a singer, Erin has performed in countless recitals, concerts, and musicals, including the lead as the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. When she's not singing, Erin also loves to run and write/arrange music. She has known the talented guys from 24*13 since elementary school, and is so excited to be singing with them!
